"Randall T. Hayes has qualified to run for the 6th Congressional District as an Other."

The title of this post is a quote from the Secretary of State's blog giving notice of my qualification as a candidate.

"Other" is the designation that Louisiana gives to candidates from political parties other than the five parties which are officially recognized in Louisiana.

My actual affiliation is with the Constitution Party, but "Randall T. Hayes has qualified to run for the 6th Congressional District as an Other" does have a ring to it.

I extend a special invitation to anyone who is an "Other" (in any sense of that word) to support my campaign.
